The remedies below enable mothers to utilise their placenta (see The Placenta section for more details on which hormones and nutrients are found in a placenta). Whether you’re concerned about postpartum depression, milk supply, healing from the birth or maintaining good energy levels, our happy clients have reported all of these outcomes from their remedies (see Testimonials section for more details). Below I have detailed the processes for creating each of the remedy types and also my experience with each of the remedies I've used.
Process: A small piece of placenta is thoroughly washed and added to water, organic berries and banana before it is blended into a smoothie (substitutions can be made on request to suit tastes or allergy requirements). The smoothie is to be made and consumed within 24 hours of the birth. Having a smoothie helps bridge the gap while capsules are processed.
My experience with this remedy: I haemorrhaged due to complications from birth yet felt instantly energised on having my smoothie. I attribute to the smoothie that, despite loosing what was estimated as just under a litre of blood my iron levels were measuring within my normal range within 14 hours. I also believe the smoothie helped with my postpartum blood loss, which very quickly reduced to low levels (within 4 days) and stopped altogether within 4 weeks.

Process: The placenta is thoroughly washed and thinly sliced for dehydration. Once fully dehydrated it is ground into a powder and encapsulated.
My experience with this remedy: When taking the simple capsules my energy levels felt like they were consistent and I felt they gave a boost to my milk production. I also felt my nurturing instinct was heightened.
Process: Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles, the Placenta is washed thoroughly then steam cooked prior to dehydration. Once dehydrated it can be ground into a powder and encapsulated.
My experience with this remedy: I found this capsule type to be more subtle and balancing.
Half & Half
Process: The placenta is split in half with one half processed according to the simple dried method and the other half according to the steamed method.
My experience with this remedy: I felt I experienced different outcomes from the two different types of capsule so depending on my requirements on a given day I would take the capsule type that I felt would best meet that need.
Process: A piece of the raw placenta is steeped in alcohol for 6 weeks before the placenta is removed and the remaining liquid is ready for use.
My experience with this remedy: Tincture remedies are easily absorbed by the body and can be long lasting due to the preserving nature of the alcohol. They can be created from the raw placenta but also by using placenta powder to prolong the use of the capsules before they run out. I get great comfort out of knowing I still have access to a placenta remedy! I’m largely planning on saving my tincture for menopause, to see if it can help me during this transitional time but I know some clients have found it beneficial for combatting PMS (See Testimonials for more details)

Process: A piece of the raw placenta is steeped in distilled water. The piece of placenta is then removed and the remaining water is added to an equal quantity of alcohol. This creates a "mother essence". A few droplets of the“mother essence" are added to a smaller dropper bottle and diluted further with more distilled or spring water, for everyday use. The essence is ready for consumption within a minimum of 28 hours.
My experience with this remedy: Placenta Essence is another long lasting remedy. I’ve used mine to help during illness, stress or general hormonal imbalance. A few drops are added to water or juice and I promise you, I can only taste the water or juice! As this remedy is so watered down I’d personally, consider giving it, albeit watered down further still, to my son during times of transition to see if it could support him during these difficulties.
